We are nearing our goal of a blanket a day (or 365 blankets to make, buy, and/or collect)!

I can't believe that we have nearly reached our goal! We currently have 362 blankets (which includes blankets friends have promised to deliver). Over the last few weeks many friends, family, and colleagues donated to "Blanketing DC with Love"!

• Judy's girlscout troup made an adorable memory quilt plus gave us another 13 give-away and store-bought blankets;
• a handful of National Geographic staff donated knitted, crocheted, and store-bought blankets;
• Carolyn donated 4 give-away blankets (2 of which were crocheted afghans);
• Pauline and Janis from Pilgrim Lutheran contributed 15 store-bought and 5 tied fleece blankets;
• my Aunt Walda delivered 17 blankets from Ohio that she had either made, bought, and was given by a friend;
• Donna finished another lovely quilt;
• Tom & Loretta donated two store-bought thermal blankets; and...
• a handful of friends/colleagues promised to donate a blanket or two within the next week or so.
